Our Vision
Activate maximizes possibilities through a series of workshop infused lectures designed to provoke a will to live in youth and mobilize them to act on that will. Students are exposed to the tenants of Social Emotional Learning. 

 

Our Mission
To teach youth skills and techniques that are essential for successfully navigating any environment. Once these skills and techniques are established, they carry over into the workforce and other areas of life.

Why Social Emotional Learning (SEL)?

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process we use to help children and adults understand and manage emotions, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.

A study involving 100,000 students indicated that SEL programming can have a positive impact up to 18 years later on academics, conduct problems, emotional distress, and drug use.

THE NEED

For some young people, your school and classrooms are the only places that resemble a suitable space for growth and development. A conducive learning environment is imperative for educators and students to achieve their intended outcomes.

As a result of the techniques taught at SEL workshops and conferences, youth become well-rounded students, future employees, employers, leader and citizens. They acquire self-confidence; learn good decision-making techniques and copying skills for life.
